Put your champagne in the fridge for at least a couple of hours before you plan to serve it. The classic way to chill and serve champagne is to place it in a container filled with ice and water — this works better than ice alone. If you've forgotten to chill it at all, you can pop the bottle into the freezer for 20 minutes as a last resort.
