Why mini humbuckers

The Gibson Mini-Hum is one of my favorite pickups. As morgan mentions they are tighter, chimier and also more focused. I always thought a mini-humbucker would be a perfect neck position pickup for a Tele in the neck position. Messages 23, Depends on which version mini you're talking about - Firebird or Deluxe?
