There is absolutely no work life balance. Be prepared to live there and never see your family. I literally thought things would change if I spoke up and it just drove a wedge. Was this review helpful? Report Share. Being able to have fun while working and stress free. Amazing company to work for, great benefits, take really good care of their employees.
Especially if you are family person you are benefiting from all the great benefits they have to offer. I would definitely recommend someone to work for Bestbuy. Pros Free lunch, Management work with you as long you are not abusing the system. They are really flexible. Cons Not promoting from within. Some days it could be busy and high energy and sometime days it can be slow Supervisor Former Employee - Texas - September 24, The company definitely cares more about the customers than taking care of their employees.
They want you to do way more than what I feel they compensate you for too. Used to be a fun place to work, but company expects more and more each year especially in and Supervisor Former Employee - Delaware - August 26, I really enjoyed working at Best Buy, but once hit things really went down hill. The company expects way too much of you, even when they lay off employees, everyone was just expected to pick up the slack for pretty much no new incentives other that you get to keep your job.
When they did the mass layoff in the beginning of the year, we got no explanation as too how they chose who to fire. They never gave an explanation to this, we were just suppose to accept this. Best Buy used to be a great place to work and the pay and benefits are great, but they expect way too much from there workers now, I hope things can get back to how they were soon. Pros Good pay, great benefits, employee discount is good. Cons Expects too much from employees, poor work life balance, warehouse employees don't get recognized enough for all the hard work they do.
Last year Best Buy said they wanted to be the best company to work for by Covid really brought to light just how much this company will sacrifice their employees for the opportunity to raise the stock price for the board. Supervisors are overworked and expected to flex again into every need and shoulder manager responsibilities without the pay. Supervisors are responsible for employee development, running sales goals, customer issues which are vast because customers cant call best buy picking up the slack when employees call off which again happens a lot because everyone is stressed and burned out.
I just would prefer if they were straight about it. Pros Benefits, insurance, additions to coverage like identity theft and legal assistance. Cons Schedule, overworked, pay, pay increases, not being able to have open and honest communication with superiors. Yes There are 1 helpful reviews 1 No. Your experience matters.
