Nissan gtr why so fast

Even sitting still, the GT-R vibrates and hums like the brawling supercar killer it was born to be. That's exciting, but it's also grating when stuck in traffic on your way to nice, twisty roads. And even when traffic is flowing, the ride is brutal. A three-hour drive in the GT-R was exhausting, with the aggressive adaptive suspension constantly jolting you about. It drones on the highway too. None of this would be a problem in a lightweight sports car built purely for driving excitement, but the GT-R is big and heavy enough that you'd expect daily livability.

Especially because it's hard to call it the most fun vehicle for the price. If you want pure speed and track times for the money, though, your best options are this or a Chevy Corvette. Since we haven't driven the Corvette, we can't say how it drives, but the entrance price is a lot lower.

Which brings us to the last and most confounding issue. While everyone else has tried to beat the GT-R's original value proposition, the GT-R itself has gotten more expensive. That's deep into supercar territory. That's hard to swallow. It's too uncomfortable and loud to be a daily driver, too heavy and computerized to be an amazing weekend car and not cheap enough to justify those compromises.

At these prices, we can't give the GT-R a full-hearty recommendation. The forged aluminum wheels are also lighter, but not by much—Nissan only removed approximately grams of weight here. However, the GT-R makes use of new carbon-ceramic brakes, which overall save 36 pounds of weight when compared to the standard steel brakes used on the other GT-R models. Arguably the biggest change in this car is the tires. While this car is well designed for track driving, its old design can reportedly become apparent when driving more slowly in day to day life.

The transmission , which was first developed around , is loud and slow to respond, an issue that has also been noted in previous models.

However, putting the car into manual mode improves the issues with the transmission. But regardless of which car you think is the better deal, the amount of work that went into creating this speedy GT-R is certainly impressive.

The acceleration in the R35 is astonishing, achieving a time in 3. Today, it is not surprising to see GT-Rs making over horsepower and people recording their quarter mile and beating Lamborghini, Ferrari and even Bugatti onto YouTube. Now if you see one of these on the streets, prepare to bring your phone out. There are a lot of special editions of the GT-R. I won't list all the specifications of all GT-Rs, but I can list some of the really special ones.

Firstly, we got the R, a horsepower twin turbocharged custom made RB engine that can do at around 4 seconds and has a top speed of mph. Then there is the Z-Tune which are just base Skyline GT-R V-Spec that has been tuned by Nismo themselves and makes horsepower and can achieve a top speed of mph.

The GT-R50 makes horsepower using the turbochargers from their GT3 race car and it also has a heavy duty crankshaft, pistons and connecting rods, a modified intake system and a recalibrated gearbox and a reinforced differential.

The body is also designed by Italdesign and only 50 of these limited edition will be made. If you ignore the GT-R special editions, then the R34 GT-R is still special, around 11, of those GT-R are made and the majority of them are the V-Spec, while there are around 43, R32 GT-Rs and around 16, R33 GT-Rs are made, so if you see these on the street, don't scream, especially if you see either the R32, R33 or R34 on the streets of the States and now you can import the R32 or R33 into the states since those are 25 years or older, but the R34 isn't 25 years old, so you can't import the R34 yet, except if you do the "show and display" legal.

Ok, I will admit some of the fan base might be a little toxic and stubborn as they think that the GT-R and other Japanese legends are the only cars in the world, but some actually appreciate this car and others, so they deserve some respect to appreciate all types of car.

Nissan themselves actually are pleased with the fan base who love this car and actually host a special 50th anniversary for the fans where you get to meet other GT-R lovers and might even post your picture of GT-R to their social media if you are lucky enough.

Probably the insane time of 1 second. Its faster than lightning. Tim Rodie. Thomas Kim. Rahil Hashmi. Yash Agarwal. Jesse Billington.
